How do I program channels into my philips flat screen tv(model 26hfl5830h/27) with a universal remote?

I have a philips flat screen tv. The model number is 26hfl5830h/27. I am only picking up 13 channels but I have a lot more than that with my cable. I need to program more channels into the tv but I dont have the origional remote. I do have a philips universal remote though and I have tried and tried but cannot seem to figure out how to do it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
